HIV/AIDS workplace education programme in India (INT/04/20/USA)

Development Objective: Prevention of HIV/AIDS in the world of work, the enhancement of workplace protection and the reduction of its adverse consequences on social, labour and economic development. Immediate Objective(s): - To better equip the ILO’s tripartite constituents to adopt and implement effective workplace policies and programmes to prevent the spread of HIV, discrimination and stigmatization of people living with HIV. - To enhance tripartite action against HIV/AIDS in three selected states, covering workers from formal as well as informal economy. - To develop a plan of action for Phase III, which will aim at putting in place a sustainable mechanism for the world of work response to HIV/AIDS.
