Improvement of safety, health and working conditions in the maritime sector of the Russian Federation

The project RUS/05/50/FLA intended to support the strategies and functions of government institutions and social partners to ensure an adequate implementation of the labour protection policies and regulations within the maritime sector (shipping and ports) in the Russian Federation. Objective 1: To strengthen the decision-making process of the social partners and government representatives to agree the implementation of the labour protection policy in the maritime sector (shipping and ports). Objective 2: To reinforce the operational capacity of the inspectorates for the implementation of the labour protection policy in the maritime sector. Objective 3: To strengthen the “intermediate institutions” in charge of training and providing advice and technical support, and disseminating information on OSH and labour protection issues in the maritime sector. Objective 4: To strengthen the internal capabilities of the shipping enterprises and port operators in dealing with the management of labour protection issues. Activities 1.
