Projet pilote d'entretien des routes rurales par les techniques HIMO

The objective of the project is: the implementation of the maintenance of rural roads by labour-based methods in order to reduce the maintenance costs and to facilitate the insertion of the population in the economic circuit and the access to the basic social services by supporting the creation of jobs. The main activities are: (i) training of the engineers of the Ministry of Public Works, supervisory staff and the leaders of design departments and the contractors in labour-based techniquescs; (ii) training of mayors and the committees of rural roads (social partners); (iii) the supervision of the maintenance work entrusted to contractors; assistance given to the Direction of Rural Roads of the Ministry of Public Works in order to improve the administration capacities in term of labour-based methods.
