2005 Contribution to APSDEP

The main objectives of APSDEP Project year 2005-06 were to strengthen the network among its member States and to address skills issues in the region in a strategic and coherent way. Main activities: ILO/APSDEP/Korea Training Course on Computer-Aided Instruction; Second Planning Meeting of Lead Institutions in the Regional Skills Network; trainer training workshop on the application of “Vocational Education and Training Institution: A Management Handbook and CDROM (Follow-up Programme); Developing Core Skills through Training of Trainers and Skills Upgrading in Indonesia: competency-based training for national centres for excellence (follow-up project); UNESCO and the ILO on reviews of national learning and skills policies in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand; and Skills Development for the poverty reduction and economic empowerment.
