Improving Management of Operations and Occupational Safety and Health in the Port Sector

The project RUS/06/50/FLA has the purpose of strengthening the capacity of the relevant government institutions and the social partners to ensure an adequate management of the labour protection policy and the management of the main operations in the port sector. The direct beneficiaries are government officials in charge of the implementation of the labour protection policy (inspectors, advisers, trainers, etc.) and managerial and technical staff of port operators & trade unions of the port sector. Basically, this project is an extension of the RUS/05/50/FLA. The main activities of the project are: A451110 Course ”Port operations & management”. Antwerp, from 6 to 14 June 2006. A451436 Course “Improving Occupational Safety and Health in the port sector: The ILO experience”. Novorossiysk (Russian Federation), 18 to 22 June 2007. A451437 Course “Port security”. Novorossiysk (Russian Federation), 25 to 28 June 2007.
