Expansion of Employment Service Centres to Nine Provinces in Afghanistan, 3rd phase

1. ESCs, established in Kabul and nine provinces will have been handed over to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and are operating with well-trained staff able to provide specific advisory and labour market services to assist employers and targeted groups of jobseekers. 2. Employment and training opportunities will have been identified and jobseekers referred to employment with major projects, private sector employers and other employment options, based on an improved Labour Market Information System. 3. Relevant and up-to-date advice and assistance on microfinance/business development services and self-employment opportunities available in the local labour market will have been provided to targeted jobseekers.
