Gender equality and employment services in Serbia
The goal of this project is to empower Serbian stakeholders to mainstream the consideration of gender issues into the operation of their national and local Public Employment Services (PES). Improving the work of the PES is one of the main recommendations of the Serbian Country Review of Employment Policy (CREP) which was finished recently. By organizing workshops and study visits for Serbian stakeholders, primarily Serbian PES employees (both from the national and local offices), trade union gender focal points, and representatives from the Employers’ Organizations (1) the Serbian stakeholders will be better prepared to carry out the institutional reform of the Serbian PES in a gender-sensitive way, and (2) to serve as local experts, future trainers and good practice examples for other countries in the region.
