Children affected by war: upgrading of vocational skills training centres in tsunami-affected districts

This project contributed to the upgrading of Vocational Skills Training Centres in Jaffna, Killinochchi,Trincomalee, Battticoloa, Mannar, Mullaitivu, Amparai and Vavuniya. The primary objectives were to strengthen at least six centre-based and 12 community-based training providers in the selected districts through infrastructure rehabilitation and institutional capacity-building measures to provide vocational skills training to approximately 2,500 girls and boys, including released underage recruits to enable them to find decent work.
