Lutte contre la pauvreté et extension de la protection sociale aux femmes travaillant dans le secteur informel

The ILO proposes a logical continuation of the pilot project “Extension of the microfinance and the microassurance to the women of the sectors abstract” implemented in Viet Nam from 2003 to 2005 in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affair (MOLISA) and with financial support from the French Government. This new project aims at reducing the vulnerability of poor Vietnamese women by access to financial products for risk management. This will be carried out by means of technical aid to three microfinance institutions to develop financial products for risk management like micro-saving, microcredit or microassurance. This project will stress the strengthening of capacities of microfinance institutions in order to contribute to the development of a sector able to offer financial services diversified to the poor households.
