Prevention and elimination of child labour and hazardous work in Panama, PHASE II

Develpment objective: To contribute to the elimination of the worst forms of child labour in Panama. Immediate objectives - By the end of the programme, implementation of targeted, quality initiatives by public institutions and key social partners (employers, workers and the media) in support of the National Child Labour Plan will have beenincreased. - By the end of the programme, officials in the justice system (labour and children's courts and labour inspection) will have improved the application of child labour legislation and regulations. - Sustainable and quality educational, vocational and income generation activities to withdraw and prevent 1,500 children from the worst forms of child labour will have been implemented by local-level national organizations.
