Corporate social responsibility in the Chinese textile industry
At the end of this project, the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) will have: (a) team of national consultants/experts who will have the resources and competencies to provide enterprise-level productivity and competitiveness upgrading programmes and services through improved workplace practices; (b) productivity and competitiveness of selected enterprises will be increased through the application of improved workplace practices; and (c) experience, materials and practices developed through the project will have been widely disseminated. Main activities include: Developing selection criteria for consultants/experts and Standard Agreement Forms; Developing promotional/informational materials; Conducting briefing sessions – both within individual organizations and public; Finalizing selection and complete agreements; Establishing a national and international team of experts to oversee the preparation of the training materials; Reviewing target sectors/enterprises, secondary information and international practices to develop training programmes and associated resources; Reviewing existing Indonesian materials; Developing an integrated and modular programme and resource pack for the partner organizations and their nominees;¨ Testing and refining the materials; Developing and implementing a core-training programme for (a) management of partner organizations and (b) their nominated consultants/experts; Developing and implementing a personal professional development for each of the consultants/experts; Assisting the selected employees to undertake a enterprise and productivity upgrading needs and opportunity assessment – baseline; Assisting the selected employees to develop productivity and competitiveness upgrading plans of action, including base-line studies; Providing coaching and other support to implement the plans of action; Monitoring progress and refining materials and process accordingly; Dissemination strategy - develop, implement, monitor and revise, as required; Conducting national workshop.
