Employment Creation and Peace Building based on Local Economic Development (EmPLED)

The main objective of the project is to contribute to national peace building and poverty reduction in selected districts in Nepal through local economic development based on the ILO’s approach to LED as an integrating framework for the creation of decent work at the local level. At the end of the project it is expected that i) local stakeholders will be planning and implementing LED strategies and ii) women and men in the targeted communities will be effectively engaged in, and benefiting from, improved access to decent and productive local employment and economic development opportunities.
