Multi-stakeholder programme for productive and decent work for youth in the Mano River Union countries (YEN Component)
The UNIDO, ILO, UNDP, and the YEN Secretariat are part of an inter-agency programme for youth employment in the Mano River Union (Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone). The YEN is managing component 1.b of the programme, which is a competitive grant scheme for youth employment. The grant scheme supports innovative, small scale youth employment projects submitted by youth led organizations. Grants of 2.000 to 50.000 US$ will be awarded to proposals chosen by a Selection Committee based on preset criteria. Furthermore, the grant scheme serves as a laboratory to test innovative approaches. At the end of the project, these experiences will be shared with the broader development community for possible replication and up-scaling.
