The teaching of Master courses (academic year 2008-09) for SPF and SPD Master programme specialisation at Maastricht University

The project will provide assistance to the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance of the Maastricht University (UM) in the framework of the joint UM/ILO Master course in Public Policy and Human Development, specialisation Social Policy Financing (SPF) as well as the specialisation in Social Policy Design (SPD). The two Master programme specialisations provide training to financial specialists in social protection for government agencies and social protection institutions and are a pivotal contribution to the improvement of governance in national social protection sectors. The ILO’s contribution to the Programme for academic year 2008/09 will provide the following four courses: (1) Financing social protection (2) Social budgeting (3) Actuarial practice in social protection (4) Quantitative techniques in health care financing The project will deliver: - revised versions of the course block-books (i.e. annotated outlines of the courses), - course teaching, including the formulation of, and subsequent correction of final exams.
