Better Work Global Programme - Stage II
The development objective of Better Work is to contribute to fairer globalization and pro-poor development through promoting Decent Work. It will do so by improving compliance with labour standards and competitiveness in global supply chains. Better Work redefines the way labour standards compliance is implemented in supply chains with a focus on the development of sustainable solutions in supplier countries. It supports member states in designing and implementing activities which are effective and credible with international buyers; financially sustainable; and able to reach large numbers of workers. Better Work projects use an online STAR system (Supply-chain Tracking of Assessments and Remediation) to connect relevant stakeholders with key information.
