Protection of migrant workers through better regulation and monitoring of private recruitment agencies

The project aims to alleviate the poverty and contribute to the economic empowerment of men and women in Nepal, by working to prevent forced labour and trafficking and to protect the rights of migrant workers when they are recruited for employment overseas. It will achieve this by enhancing the regulation and functioning of private employment agencies in Nepal, by strengthening the capacity of key institutions to ensure effective implementation of legislation and be raising awareness among potential migrants of the risks of trafficking and how to avoid them.
