Strengthening leadership for mainstreaming and scaling up of the response to HIV/AIDS
Title: Strengthening Leadership for mainstreaming and scaling up of the response to HIV/AIDS Country: Bangladesh Funding Source: UNAIDS PAF Budget: US $ 49,946 This project is aimed at increasing the capacity of leaders of industry and labour market to take positive action against HIV/AIDS among their workers through changing attitudes, creating the necessary space for the provision of HIV/AIDS education and services and for ensuring non-discrimination at the workplaces of people living with or affected by HIV and AIDS. The project comprises activities in three areas: - Developing training modules and materials on “Leadership in managing HIV/AIDS in the World of Work”, using the ILO Code of Practice on HIV/AIDS as the basis - Training managers & supervisors of BEF, member enterprises, leaders of different chambers of industries and commerce, and labour market associations, as well as managers and leaders of NCCWE and affiliated trade unions - Conduct of situation and gap analysis on HIV/AIDS related activities by enterprises and organizations in different economic sectors Funding Source: UNAIDS PAF
