Skills Development and Employment Information Centres (CBLRP)

Continuing Operations of SKILLS DEVELOPMENT & EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION CENTERS In Earthquake-Affected Areas of NWFP and AJK – Pakistan Under UNDP-funded “Community-Based Livelihood Recovery Project (CBLRP)”, ILO had the target to establish two Skill Development Centres (SDCs) and two Employment Information Centres (EICs) and support them for a minimum of 18 months starting from July 9, 2008. These facilities were established in collaboration with respective Government agencies in AJK and NWFP. The project was funded by UNDP. Due to the closure of Project without much expected extension, the two activities needed to be continued even after the Project term. For this purpose, the balance amount of these activities has been transferred to a new Budget to meet the ongoing operational and construction expenses of these facilities. Activities are managed under the approved Service Contracts from PROCUREMENT and would be supervised by the relevant Government Partners who will report to ILO Islamabad Office until its completion.
