Support to Industrial Relations and Labour Code reform in Vietnam

The Project entitled "Support to Industrial Relations and Labour Code Reform in Vietnam" is designed to facilitate industrial relations law reform at national level, to assist new experiment of collective bargaining and social dialogue at decentralized levels, and to strengthen industrial relations service function of the government. The project, supported by One UN funding in Vietnam, is built upon outcomes of the previous ILO project on industrial relations, and embedded in tripartite partners' local capacity. The implementation of the Project coincides with the crucial phase of labour law and industrial relations reform in today's Vietnam where local tripartite partners are beginning to roll out variety of industrial relations experiments. The successful implementation of the project will pave the way for sound industrial relations for fair economic growth and social stability, as well as for bringing Vietnam's law and practices closer to the international labour standards. The project is strongly supported not only by our traditional tripartite constituents, but also by other ministries and the country's National Assembly.
