Business Training Package support and Validation of Vocation Training Opportunities

Main objectives of the project 1) Review the situation concerning the supply of entrepreneurship and business development training; 2) Identify any specificities of the target population that might influence the development of training material; 3) Assess delivery and organizational capacity as well as technical capability of vocational training centers and technical skills suppliers and determine whether and how these providers can best serve the DDR population within the parameters of the foreseen skills development components of the reintegration programme. Expected project outputs • a short report that summarizes current business and vocational training provision in Southern Sudan, including an assessment of the current providers; • a concept note that defines the time and financial resources needed for: - adapting the ILO relevant entrepreneurship development training packages in order to meet the need of DDR participants, - initial Training of Trainers for the implementing partners that will be selected to provide small business and vocational training support to ex-combatants choosing this opportunity, - monitoring and following up the training delivered by the implementing partners and provide a second training of trainers programme after 4-6 months.
