Conflict prevention and peace building in North Lebanon

Outcome 1: Conflict resolution and mediation mechanisms developed and sustained in order to facilitate the resolution of inter- and intra-communal tensions between Palestinians and Lebanese. Activities: implementation of tripartite dialogue workshops; technical advice for the legal reform on employability for the Palestinians. Outcome 2: Conflict risk in North Lebanon communities reduced through the design and implementation of inclusive socio-economic initiatives. Activities: training on local economic development; participatory value chain analysis for key economic sectors in the selected communities; development of local strategies to promote micro & small enterprises among youth and women; formulate and implement projects on key economic and social infrastructure in all selected villages; provide livelihood support packages, including business management training, loans and in-kind support for women; provide vocational training for women and youth.
