RECOVERY COORDINATION INITATIVE II - BATTICALOA DISTRICT

Recovery Coordination Initiative (RCI)- Phase 2 is the up-scaling of the UN coordinated pilot project implemented from July to December 2008 in Batticaloa District of SriLanka. The main implementing agencies of RCI-2 are UNDP, FAO and ILO. The Project duration is 12 months starting from 1st July 2009 and it covers 08 grama niladhari divisions of the district where displaced families of internal conflict between government forces and LTTE in 2007, are resettled. ILO is responsible for technical & vocational training, and enterprise development. ILO will be applying the CB-TREE Methodology which was used successfully in Ampara District of Eastern SriLanka from year 2006-2008.
