Business Continuity in time of Pandemic - Protecting Workers and Business through preparedness measures

The project, covering Indonesia, aims at sustaining the efforts of ILO Constituents on influenza prevention at the workplace, and to equip them with information and tools which will lead to the improvement of working conditions for workers in SMEs and informal economies, will encourage business preparedness, especially in times of pandemic, and will possibly influence the development of national policies. The project will pursue the following objectives: to prevent workers from getting infected with influenza at the workplace through awareness raising, information sharing, promotion of preventive measures and dissemination of good practices; to assist employers in protecting their workers and business through the development of preparedness plans in a participatory way; to assist governmental agencies and other stakeholders in the implementation of existing national strategies that will provide support for workplace level efforts. Practical training activities will be carried out with the support of ILO tools and guidelines to help selected attendants develop the above-mentioned capacities.
