Support the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking
The project is based on an agreement between the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crims (UNODC) and the ILO on supporting the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN.GIFT). UN.GIFT's mission is to mobilize state and non-state actors to eradicate trafficking. In carrying out its mission, UN.GIFT increases knowledge and awareness on trafficking, promotes rights-based responses, and fosters partnerships for joint action against trafficking. ILO is a member of UN.GIFT Steering Committee. Annex 1 of the agreement specifies the terms of reference of UN.GIFT focal points, and annex 2 outlines activiites on joint programming in Central Asia.
