Addressing gender-based violence against and HIV/AIDS vulnerability in Indonesian migrant workers and their families

The Project aims to strengthen Indonesian government and other stakeholders commitment and capacity to address GBV and HIV vulnerabilities among migrant workers by closing policy gaps and mianstream gender to existing policy frameworks. In addition, the Project aims at strengtheing Indoensian government and ohter stakehodlers' capacity to implement effectively existing policies on gender mainstreaming in their policy framework for the placement and protection of migrant workers. The Project will establish a project advisory committee, core technical team and M&E team; conduct literature review to identify needs and elaborate strategy; hold national stakeholder seminar on GBV and HIV vulnerabilities to strengthen policies and responses for the protection of Indonesian migrant workers; conduct workshop for senior and techical officials to address GBV and HIV vulnerabilities in national labour migration policies and programmes; develop guidelines and trainint modules on GBV and HIV vulnerabilitis among migrant workers;buid capacity of GO officials to strengthen policy development and implementation; build civil society capacity to advocate on GBV and HIV vulnerability reduction among migarnt worker; produce guidelines on GBV and HIV vulnerabilities for migrrant workers.
