Reducing HIV related employment discrimination in China

This project aims to assist the Chinese government and civil society partners ot strengthen implementation of policies that are in place to protect the employment rights of peopleliving with HIV. The actions include the following: 1. establish a monitoring system on a. workplace discrimination with regular reporting to senior labour and health officials b. strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations to advocate for the elimination of employment discrimination c. establish local linkages between PLHIV groups, legal support services and local trade union officials to resolve cases of employment discrimination. In addition, good case examples will be created based on the rsults of this project and communicated to national health and labour officials for scaling up through the national AIDS programme.
