Addressing HIV and AIDS related stigma and discrimination in health care settings

To complement the on-going USDOL/PEPFAR project (IND/10/51/USA), the project is designed to address the issue of stigma and discrimination in the public sector health care settings by creating an enabling environment for people to access HIV/AIDS related services through ESIC. Broad approaches and key activities: 1. Consultation and planning; 2. Capacity building of Healthcare workers including Management officials, medical, paramedical and other staff members; 3. Intervention in two hospitals of ESIC; ILO will provide ongoing technical support for training, monitoring and ensuring quality of services. ILO will also facilitate collaboration with the SACS/TSUs and other technical partners
