2010-11 UBW: Interagency activity for technical support
UNAIDS approved the additional funding of US$306,000 to the afore-mentioned programme, particularly to further enhance inter-agency work related to the issues in the areas of the ILO’s technical competence. Considering the existing needs related to OBW on one hand and the afore-mentioned priority areas established in UNAIDS outcome framework on the other, the additional resource will be utilized for 1) providing technical advice to, and strengthening capacities of, the tripartite plus stakeholders, and 2) enhancing knowledge base, with respect to the private sector mobilization for workplace HIV programme, health workers, social protection and stigma and discrimination.Achievements and results of the activities will be measured against indicators 8.1 and 8.2 in the 2010-11 Programme and Budget. Also, eventual consensus among the concerned cosponsors on the future course of action and results of research/study will be taken into account in assessing outcomes of the use of the additional funding.
