Creating Opportunities for Youth Employment in Sudan
ILO Cairo and UNDP Khartoum have initiated this joint collaboration project to respond to the request of the Presidential Committee for Emplyoment to develop a coherent and comprehesive national policy. The project aims to support the institutions and the social partners to address the increasing difficulties related to employment, underemployment and youth unemployment, through the preparation fo a policy implementation strategy that provides directions and priorities for action. In addition, the joint project provides the Government of Sudan with technical support in developing policies on technical and vocational skills, micro and small enterprises to improve the employability and enhance the technical, vocational and entrepreneurial skills fo men and women including disabled people with the purpose of reducing the high unemployment rate in Sudan with particular attention to the post conflict areas.
