Gender Mainstreaming in the ILO-Sweden Partnership Agreement in El Salvador

Following on from the activities undertaken under the first phase of the Sweden/ILO Partnership Agreement (PA) throughout 2009-2011, this project will focus on ensuring that the work of the Sweden/ILO Partnership Agreement gender mainstreamed: i.e. that “women’s as well as men’s concerns form an integral dimension of the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation” of the ILO’s work under the PA so that “women and men benefit equally and inequality is not perpetuated.” Under PA, GENDER will work with ILO colleagues and constituents in the El Salvador to ensure that work being undertaken in the following areas is gender mainstreamed: • Youth Employment • Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
