Gender Mainstreaming in the ILO Norway Partnership Agreement in South Africa_OLD
Following on from the activities undertaken under different phases of the Norway/ILO Partnership throughout 2008-2011, the project will focus on ensuring that the work of the Norway/ILO Partnership Agreement in South Africa is gender mainstreamed: i.e. that “women’s as well as men’s concerns form an integral dimension of the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation” of the ILO’s work in South Africa, so that “women and men benefit equally and inequality is not perpetuated.” GENDER will work with ILO colleagues and constituents in South Africa to ensure that work being undertaken under the following two projects is gender mainstreamed: • Good Governance through Labour Administration and Labour Inspection • Promoting freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
