Capacity Building for Migration Management (CBMM) in China Phase II

The proposed Phase 2 of the project will firstly continue to build on the relationships formed with the main Chinese Ministry beneficiaries and support the migration-related policy framework , including the development of a national training curricula on document examination, and secondly will have as an overall objective the enhancement of the capacities of provincial authorities to adequately manage migration, including in regards to addressing human smuggling and counter-trafficking through progressively involving them in trainings, workshops and related activities. Priority engagement of officials from the emigration hot zones provinces of Fujian, Liaoning, and Shandong will be particularly encouraged. The project will retain the promotion of the multi-Ministry approach to migration management which was a theme under CBMM-China. IOM and ILO shall carry out the following specific activities:
