Empowering Women for Peace &Recovery in East Sudan

This project seeks to stimulate the conflict-affected and under-developed economy of East Sudan through specific attention to the exclusion of women. In doing so, it targets immediate peace dividends through access to micro-finance, job creation and small business opportunities –not only addressing critical issues of feminised poverty but also generating confidence in the ESPA and reconstruction process. This in turn addresses pervasive socio-political issues such as under-employment and discrimination which threaten the stability of East Sudan and the sustainability of peace.
