Return Migrants and Home Country Socio-Economic Development

The project's aim is to carry out research to provide empirical evidence and analysis on return migration trends, what factors affect return and re-migration decisions, and what type of social and economic characteristics return migrants possess. This analytical work will contribute to support the design of measures and incentives encouraging sustainable and successful labour market reintegration for return migrants in Moldova and other countries facing similar demographic challenges, thus fostering the efficient use of human, financial and social capital acquired abroad for homeland development.
