The Youth to Youth Fund for Togo

The Youth to Youth Fund is a competitive grant and capacity building scheme for youth led organizations to propose innovative projectsthat create employment fortheir peers through the creation of sustainable micro enterprises in niche markets. The grant scheme will support innovative, small scale youth employment projects submitted by youth led organizations. Grants of 10,000 to 30,000 USD will be awarded to proposals chosen by a review team of technical specialists and a selection committee, based on predefined criteria. In addition to funding the projects receive support in implementation through an ongoing capacity building program. The proposal is aimed at promoting youth participation in development and is based on experiences made with a pilot grant scheme implemented in 2009/2010 in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Cote d’Ivoire and subsequent rounds in Guinea in 2010/2011 and in Sierra Leone in 2011/2012. Lessons learned from these previous rounds will be applied to this round of the Youth to Youth Fund in Togo.
