Gender and informality in water supply: a cross-sectoral approach to the Global Jobs Pact in the framework of sustainable development and the Post 2015 agenda
The expected results are as follows: 1. Trends in women's invisible and unpaid labour in the water sector identified in the selected countries and areas. 2. Policy options to incorporate women who work informally in the water supply chain in the formal sector identified in order to promote green jobs' creation, empowerment of women and sustainable development. 3. Greater availability of analysis and data for evidence based advocacy, for: - empowerement of women to participate in water supply strategies; - formalization of informal work in water supply; - job creation in water supply for environmentally sustainable development; - advancing gender equality and women's empowerment in the Post 2015 thematic consultations on water and development
