Promoting community security through engagement with youth at risk (Youth for change, Somali Regions)
The Youth for Change (Y4C) Programme aims to " Reduce conflict and crime by rehabilitating potential and actual perpetrators of violence, to pave way for rule of law and recovery'. This programme is a joint initiative by UNDP, UNICEF and ILO targeting 200 youth associated with conflict in all of Somali regions. Y4C also contributes to the mandate of each agency, in particular ILO will focus on economic development, creating short term employment while enhancing skills in youth related to enterprise and vocational training.
