The European Social Model along the economic crisis and austerity policies - Second (Policy) phase.

This project will consist in: - Elaborate a comparative analysis from the national assessments of major changes/reforms in the main elements of the European Social already carried out in 12 countries (during first phase); extend this analysis to high-level national studies on six more countries; Provide an assessment of those major ESM (European Social Model) changes' implications in the social, economic and political spheres. - On the basis of the concrete case studies already carried out (and that will be extended to six more countries) build a typology of specific reforms/changes in the various elements of the ESM, and on their respective effects. - Carry out few in-depth research studies on key areas of the ESM identified in the first phase to better identify the effects of reforms in those specific areas. - Holding a major policy conference where respective actors could react to the results and complement with their own experience. On this basis all necessary policy issues and areas will be addressed.
