Youth employment for sustainable development
The project involves empowering the young women and men through creation and development of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) owned by up to 500 young men and women who will be trained and engaged on labour intensive infrastructure development and maintenance using “Do-nou” technology. The MSEs in turn will create thousands of jobs through labour intensive works in Garissa County and the environs (one of most affected areas by the drought and refugee concentration). The project will also strengthen the capacities of national partners, MoTI, MoE, MoDP and others, in the planning, implementation and monitoring of employment intensive works.
