Promoting indigenous peoples’ rights to land and natural resources
The proposed project will contribute to reducing poverty and promoting self-determined development among indigenous communities in Cambodia by ensuring effective implementation of national legislation, policies and regulation in accordance with the principles of ILO Convention No. 169 and other relevant ILO Conventions as well as relevant international instruments. The project will further support the scaling up of the processes for the determination of identity and registration of indigenous communities as legal entities. At the same time it will build the capacity of indigenous traditional leaders as well as youth and women and relevant public officials at different levels.
