Support GSP+ beneficiary countries to effectively implement ILS and comply with reporting obligations. Panama

The project aims to support the application of ILO fundamental Conventions and human rights in Panama with an emphasis on the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention, 1948 (No. 87) and the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98). This project pays particular attention to strengthening the institutional capacity of the Government, in particular with regard to addressing the comments made by the ILO Supervisory bodies on the application of these conventions and the effective reporting. In order to achieve the project results, the activities include trainings on the content of selected fundamental Conventions and tripartite discussions on legislation and regulations.
