Productive Use of Electricity by micro and small enterprises in urban and peri-urban Zambia

The objective of the project is to facilitate access to electricity by subsidizing 5,000 Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in urban and peri-urban areas with preference to women headed small businesses through an output-based aid approach but targeting subsidies in a gender-sensitive and socially inclusive manner. The Project is also intended to have a strong pro-poor focus hence supporting the World Bank-housed Global Partnership on Output Based Aid (GPOBA) and GRZ’s central objectives of providing targeted subsidies to basic services.
