Support GSP + beneficiary countries to effectively implement ILS and comply with reproting obligations - Philippines
The project aims to support the Philippines in addressing the critical issues contained in the comments of ILO Supervisory bodies on the implementation of the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention, 1948 (No. 87) and the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98). This project incorporates relevant recommendations from an ILO mission in relation to civil liberties and trade union rights, seeks to strengthen compliance with Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining rights in the context of expanded trade and investments and seeks to establish peaceful industrial relations. The intervention includes trainings, awareness-raising activities and workshops to promote these rights with a view to improve the capacity of the national administration and of employers’ and workers’ organizations to implement mechanisms that apply social dialogue and tripartism.
