Capacity building for vocational training in Asia-Pacific region

Contributing to “Outcome 1: More and better jobs for inclusive growth and improved youth employment prospects” (P&B 2016-17), the activities in this proposal will lead towards the delivery of the following two major outputs: publication currently referred to as the Skills and the Future of Work: Strategies for Inclusive Growth in Asia and the Pacific and TVET training programmes for Master Trainers from Asia and the Pacific. Referring to the conclusions from the 2016 Forum, both deliveries will help Member States better prepare themselves in meeting future skill challenges – building an inclusive future that involves the creation of more job prospects and decent jobs. The participating countries will have identified skills and employment for inclusive growth issues as a priority requiring technical assistance and collaboration with their DWCP outcomes for 2016-17 biennium. At the regional level, the activities will be linked to ‘RAS126 – Increased knowledge and capacity in the region to promote coherent policies in support of decent work for all women and men’.
