Action against child trafficking for labour and sexual exploitation in Peru – phase I

The project aims to reduce child trafficking for labour and sexual exploitation in Peru with a geographical focus on the regions of Lima, Cusco and Loreto. The project will contribute to stronger coordination among a wide array of stakeholders, harmonize current initiatives and bring an innovative approach to combat child trafficking efficiently while ensuring victims’ needs through the provision of specialized services. Project Goal: The overall goal is to improve the capacity of the Peruvian government to eradicate child trafficking for labour and sexual exploitation under the Child Protection Compact Partnership in Lima, Cusco and Loreto. The current proposal is also fully in line with the CPC Partnership’s programming objectives as it will strengthen state and civil society capacity to provide comprehensive services, improve the quality of victim-centered investigations and prosecutions, and increase prevention efforts.
