Global action to improve the recruitment framework of labour migration SRI LANKA

The “Global action to improve the recruitment framework of labour migration” project will contribute to the development of practical Guidelines on fair recruitment to assist ILO Member States, social partners, labour recruiters and other stakeholders in developing labour recruitment laws and regulations in compliance with international human rights and labour standards (see output 3.1 on development of Guidelines). The ILO Guidelines will subsequently be used to inform the design and implementation of the pilot interventions (under Outcome 1), as well as build the capacities of social partners and civil society to facilitate migrant workers’ access to reliable, gender-sensitive information and services in the recruitment process (under Outcome 2). The knowledge acquired throughout the implementation of this project will contribute to advancing ILO’s Fair Recruitment Initiative, and delivering on the overall ILO Fair Migration Agenda, which constituents around the world have endorsed.
