Enhancing Jobs and Schooling decision of Moldovan youth

The project proposes to fill some of the information gaps that young Moldovan face in making schooling and jobs decision by introducing an adapted and innovated version of the ‘Surfing the labour market’ tool, including through the web and the phone application. The adaptation will be done through a partnership with relevant institutions (employment offices, career centres, schools, employers) to improve its effectiveness and also ensure follow up to this intervention. The direct beneficiaries of the intervention are the staff of employment offices, career guidance centres, and schools who will be able to contribute to the development/adaptation and launch of an additional career guidance tool that will be both web-based and in the form of an application. The ultimate beneficiaries of the intervention are young people who need more education and occupational information to be made available to them. Indirect beneficiaries of the intervention will be employers, as they may observe an improvement in the matching between career choices and the occupational profiles required by business.
