Sustaining strengthened national capacities to improve ILS compliance and reporting in Mongolia
The project aims at supporting Mongolia’s effort towards the ratification of the Protocol of 2014 to the Forced Labour Convention, 1930, and the compliance of national legislation and procedures to International Labour Standards requirements with a view to effectively prevent child labour and forced labour, protect the victims and prosecute the perpetrators. Within the framework of the National Programme against Human Trafficking of 2017-2021, the project assists the tripartite constituents, the National Human Rights Commission and the Mongolian Bar Association, to conduct legal analysis and organise a training programme on the prevention of forced labour and human trafficking for labour exploitation. It is expected that by the end of the project, Mongolia will consider ratifying the Forced Labour Protocol and establishing a national operational framework to identify and protect victims of human trafficking for labour exploitation.
