Economic Growth and Employment

This development cooperation project, designed to implement ILO’s obligations under the Economic Growth and Employment Outcome Group of the UNDAP II, focuses on four key strategies toward inclusive growth. These are evidence-based policies; capacities of economic and social institutions to provide services for which they were intended; and quality of employment created, at the level of enterprises as well as the working conditions at the level of the workers. The overall objective is to support the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania in providing equal opportunities for all to participate in economic growth, especially through employment, taking into careful consideration of various forms of discrimination that could result from age, gender, religion, geographical location and the like.
