Establishing and enhancing an overall Occupational Safety and Health frame work in Myanmar and Lao PDR

The work under this project will support the broader labour law reform and capacity development initiatives which are being planned as a joint effort by the technical cooperation projects currently under implementation in Myanmar, including the Elimination of Child Labour Project, Responsible Business Project and the National Labour Force Survey Project. The project will specifically contribute to/add value to the current outcomes MMR 102 “Sustained and deepened progress on Freedom of Association as foundation for sound social dialogue”, LAO228 “Improved institutional and legal provisions for the promotion of OSH in the workplace”” and RAS126 “Increased knowledge and capacity in the region to promote coherent policies in support of decent work for all women and men”.
